Bridgend Athletics

Visual identity

Bridgend Athletics is a self-funded community sports club formed in the 1950s. They offer a fun, educational and competitive environment for both junior and adult athletes – many of which have represented Wales and Great Britain at Commonwealth and Olympic games.

The club’s identity was looking tired, so they asked us for a bit of help in raising their profile. Inspired by the two stripes on their iconic club vest we created a bold, single-minded visual identity that would present them in a more contemporary way. This idea flows from the logo and across applications – everything from training kit to trackside livery. They now have a striking visual style that distinguishes them amongst other clubs – an identity that we hope will inspire future Olympians. Our work for Bridgend Athletics was delivered pro bono.

The new identity has not only given us a more professional look, it has helped to raise the bar for the future aspirations of the club.
